This week I am focusing my research on the project tasks and beginning to attempt to create some of the components in Unreal engine. Using tutorials and articles for research, I am starting with the door challenge.  

Opening a new project in VR, I followed the tutorials and articles to create a new blueprint (actor class) and add content - cube, which I squashed and stretched to an appropriate shape for the inner door. To help myself, later on, created a duplicate material and changed the colour to apply to this. I then duplicated this object change the material back to the original white one and squashed it down to make one side of the outer door. I did this two more times to create the other side and the top.
