I have spent a little time away from this project while completing and handing in work for my other modules with more pressing deadlines. I have continued to research when possible to ensure that when I came back I would know roughly what I needed to do.
This week I continued with where I had left the button task. With the asset and blueprint set up, I followed the tutorial to fill the event graph with the appropriate nodes to animate the button in response to being pressed and tell the button to light up while pressed. Having previously done some coding I felt really helped with this task as it followed a similar style of 'if true play this' as coding does. However, I am now running into the issue of not having a VR headset. So now I have completed the button, but at home, I cannot test it. Some sessions have been added to aid with the end of the project so I will utilise these and test my assets to ensure they all work properly. Until then I will continue to research and complete tasks so that I can test as much as possible in the sessions and use my time there to debug any issues that do arise.
